It's Christmas Time

We've been busy around here!

We hosted Thanksgiving at our house for some friends and family and had such a fun time!

(Thanks for the picture Noelle. I stole it from your blog)

And this is how we fit in our little house

Preparing for Black Friday shopping (not really "crazy Black Friday shopping" but Greg did come home with a few things for me since I was working)

Don't worry, Addison isn't frequently naked like this...

Preparing for a  puppy in our house. Yep I'm pretty nervous but our neighbors' boxer had puppies and we'll be getting Maizie in a few weeks. She's pretty cute.

Getting ready for Christmas...we finally got the tree up today!

Watching mom and dad put up lights

And we have just been spending all our time holding, talking, and playing with this big girl! Addison is 5 months old now and making all sorts of noises, likes to smile and laugh at her parents and anyone who will look at her, puts everything in her mouth, and is still loosing her hair day by day.

Family Pictures

Well my mom came out to visit and was so nice to take family pictures of the Donovan side over Labor Day. We had been having the best weather then Labor Day was when fall hit hard but they still turned out great for a cold, windy day!

Addison already seems like she's grown so much since these pictures...

Thanks mom!

Little Monkey

Who needs hands when you've got two feet to play with your toys with?

She gets very camera shy so this was the closest thing to a smile I could get.

There are days after working the night shift when we don't have much fun because I just want to sleep all day and Addison wants to play all day. But after sleeping all day yesterday and all night last night today is a good day; just mom and Addi hanging out at home (with the heat on), playing with our toys, taking naps, and avoiding doing too much housework if at all possible!

Happy Sweetest Day!

Yep it was last Saturday. Have you heard of it? Apparently it is a holiday celebrated mostly in the Midwest (sorry all you westerners) in which you get to celebrate the "sweetie" in your life.
I had not heard of this holiday until my husband surprised me with a flower and a bag of peanut M&M's. Any holiday that involves candy and flowers is a good holiday to me! Unfortunately for my husband, he did not receive anything but now I know for next year!

p.s. I colored my hair brown and am loving it! I've always wanted to and been too scared but I finally did it. Now I match my husband and my daughter.
p.p.s. Isn't she cute in her pajamas and comb over? She's getting so big but it's so fun and we love her!

No internet...

It's never good not having internet. For many reasons.

-The bank account doesn't get checked and this involves fees
-I have to use Facebook on my phone which really isn't quite the same
-Blog-stalking isn't as much fun on my phone when it's so small you can't even see the pictures
-I can't check my Google calendar
-I can't look at Pinterest like the rest of the world
-And of course, I can't show off pictures of my cute baby girl on my blog

But after a month in our new house we finally have the internet set up so life is getting back to normal.

We're really liking it back here in Ohio. We love our new house, Greg is happy to be back in school, and I'm back to work...happy to be getting paid but sometimes happy to go to work. And Addison is just happy almost all the time. She really is a good baby and it is so much fun to have her smiling so much and she loves playing with her toys and watching TV (I try to stop her...trust me). She's 3 months old now! Crazy but so much fun. She changes so fast but it's hard to remember what she used to be like when she was just a newborn. We sure do love her!

First day in our new house

~~Guest Post~~ Visiting from Utah

Well . . .

Here I am back here in Ohio visiting Karianne & Greg and darling baby Addi!  It has been so much fun!  I don't know how I'm going to leave darling baby tomorrow and go back home . . . baby Addi has very strict instructions to hold on the growing thing until we get back here the end of September!

Karianne & Greg have the MOST darling little home!  It suites them perfectly and will be so wonderful for them.  Just had to share a few photos while I'm at it . . .

Pretty little baby

So once you have a baby that's all you're supposed to blog about right? I can't really resist when she is so darn cute!

Also, word of advice from our own experience...Don't try to have a baby, move across the country, start a new job, and buy a house all at the same time. Little bit stressful but we're surviving!

One month later

I can't believe it's been a month since Addison was born!

She was a very good girl yesterday when she was blessed and didn't even cry. They said she just had her eyes open and looked up at the lights. I'm sure it's because of the little "talk" her parents had with her before church.

We've had a pretty fun month getting to know this little lady and she's been such a good sport as we try to include her in our busy, fun summer.

We've been to the pool...

Experienced Lake Powell and her first time on a boat...

Taken lots of naps with mom and dad...

Met lots of new people, including her grandma and grandpa who came to visit from Ohio...

There have been a few long nights and days, some screaming, and lots of hospital/doctor bills but this little girl is definitely worth it.
