Ever since I've known Greg he has struggled with allergies. He is always sneezing, blowing his nose (or has tissues stuffed up his nose...don't tell him I told you), and taking Zyrtec everday. So he finally went to the allergist this week which we were so excited about so we could discover what he was allergic to and get rid of it and guess what...it's dust mites. (And shrimp, lobster, crab...but who would eat that nasty stuff anyway).
So first of all, sorry Greg for being a lazy wife and not cleaning as much as I should have. I didn't know you were suffering because sometimes I don't feel like vacuuming or dusting. Ever.
And second of all, now I'm totally paranoid about these nasty little creatures that are everywhere! In your carpet, mattress, sheets, blankets, pillows, couch, clothes, basically anything that collects dust. And if you have ever seen a picture of them you'd definitely not want them there. (I was going to post a picture of one here but it really grosses me out to even look at them so I'll spare you...you can google it)
So the feather bed is now in the spare bedroom (apparently they love those), the sheets have been washed in hot water, and the pillows were all put through the dryer on high (I read that that might get rid of them...at least for a little while). And tonight I'll be dusting and vacuuming while Greg is playing basketball because apparently (Dr's orders) it stirs up the dust mites when doing this so "it's best for someone other than the allergic individual to complete these tasks". Seriously? I do love my husband but that won't last long...
